Malindi International Airport (code MYD) is on the south side of Malindi town, a short drive from the beach hotels.

Routes

The airport mainly handles domestic flights, with the busiest route to Nairobi and connections to other coast destinations such as Lamu. Check with the airline for the current schedule.

Getting from the airport

• Malindi hotels: about 10 minutes by car.
• Watamu: about 30 minutes south.
• Mambrui: about 30 minutes north, across the Sabaki River.

Taxis and tuk-tuks wait outside arrivals. If you prefer a driver waiting with your name, book an airport transfer to Malindi or to Watamu.
